{"id":1216,"date":"2014-11-16T15:47:50","date_gmt":"2014-11-16T20:47:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/raz-family.ca\/RunKristi\/?p=1216"},"modified":"2014-11-16T15:47:50","modified_gmt":"2014-11-16T20:47:50","slug":"my-favourite-running-year-so-far","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/raz-family.ca\/RunKristi\/?p=1216","title":{"rendered":"My Favourite Running Year So Far"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It is only November, there isn&#8217;t even snow on the ground yet, but I am already thinking of next year&#8217;s running goals. \u00a0Why so early? \u00a0I think because this year I&#8217;m not feeling burned out. Last year at this time it hadn&#8217;t been long since my first marathon, followed by another half marathon. Truth be told I was more than ready for a break. This year, however, despite completing the most races I have ever done in a year, I am feeling rested and excited to run.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Here is the math for the 2014 race\u00a0season:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>17<\/strong> races<\/p>\n<p><strong>1<\/strong> marathon<\/p>\n<p><strong>1<\/strong> 30k race<\/p>\n<p><strong>4<\/strong> half marathons<\/p>\n<p><strong>1<\/strong> 10 miler<\/p>\n<p><strong>1<\/strong> 8.5 miler<\/p>\n<p><strong>5<\/strong> 10k&#8217;s<\/p>\n<p><strong>1<\/strong> 8.5k<\/p>\n<p><strong>3<\/strong> 5k&#8217;s<\/p>\n<p><strong>1<\/strong> personal best in the half marathon<\/p>\n<p><strong> 3<\/strong> personal bests in the 10 (faster at each attempt)<\/p>\n<p><strong>1<\/strong>\u00a0unofficial fastest 5k in one of my longer distances.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1<\/strong> 30k PB (of course it was my only 30k race&#8230;so far!)<\/p>\n<p><strong>1<\/strong> disaster of a\u00a0race &#8211; the marathon &#8211; but I completed it!<\/p>\n<p><strong>2<\/strong> new cities visited in order to race: Vancouver and Philadelphia<\/p>\n<p><strong>1<\/strong> great year of running<\/p>\n<p><strong>I<\/strong> also started trail running, orienteering and took swimming lesson.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>So what are the plans and goals for next year? \u00a0In no particular order:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; a <strong>1:55 or less<\/strong> half marathon<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; a<strong> 51 minute 10k<\/strong> (I&#8217;ll take 51:59!)<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; a third <strong>marathon<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; and of course, the <strong>Prague Half\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Marathon<\/strong>, which may be the race in\u00a0which I aim for that 1:55; other than some cobble streets it is supposed to be a very fast course.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>What are your plans for 2015?<a href=\"http:\/\/raz-family.ca\/RunKristi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/IMG_2353-Copy-e1416170810396.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1224\" src=\"http:\/\/raz-family.ca\/RunKristi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/IMG_2353-Copy-e1416170810396-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_2353 (Copy)\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/raz-family.ca\/RunKristi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/IMG_2353-Copy-e1416170810396-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/raz-family.ca\/RunKristi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/IMG_2353-Copy-e1416170810396-682x1024.jpg 682w, https:\/\/raz-family.ca\/RunKristi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/IMG_2353-Copy-e1416170810396-624x936.jpg 624w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It is only November, there isn&#8217;t even snow on the ground yet, but I am already thinking of next year&#8217;s running goals. \u00a0Why so early? \u00a0I think because this year I&#8217;m not feeling burned out.
